Gunfighters lose member

Delores “Miss Dee” Baird riding Gunfighters for Hire float in the Grubstake Days Parade.

It is always a difficult time when the word comes that you have lost a member of your family.  Delores “Miss Dee” Baird recently succumbed to cancer.  During the show on Halloween, word came that “Miss Dee” died at home, with her husband of 49 years by her bedside.

“Miss Dee” joined Gunfighters for Hire in 2007, after her husband, Dirty Dave Skoalfield, had told her about the organization.  She balked at first for the opportunity, but then decided to join once she found out she could grab her shotgun and shoot him, and smile about it.

attached.  “Miss Dee” rarely missed a show until her illness became an issue.

“Miss Dee” is survived by her husband Dave, son Allan Jr., daughter Leslie, grandchildren David and Lelanaia, son-in-law Charaka and daughter-in-law Autumn.

From all the members of Gunfighters for Hire, we extend our deepest sympathy to Dee’s family.

Dee was family member to all at Gunfighters for Hire.  She will certainly be missed, but never forgotten.
