It’s almost summer… almost

Summer is almost upon us and the end has come to the 2017-2018 performance season.

Gunfighters for Hire was unable to perform the last show of the season due to last minute injury and illness of three of its members.  It happens.

Jorge Carter, aka: Dusty Bottoms

The Gunfighters are also losing three of the volunteers that help put on the free shows that entertain thousands of visitors from around the world: Jorge Carter, Justina Nilsson and her son Jacob.  Jorge just retired from USMC where he was stationed at 29 Palms.  The three will be relocating to Tennessee next week.

Putting on shows for the public can be rewarding in the sense of knowing that helping to raise money for other needy organizations is what it is all about.  Since 1997, the Gunfighters have been helping to raise money for various non-profit organizations, without being paid for the shows they perform in Pioneertown.  Since the early days, the shows have grown to include complicated skits, facades, sound systems and props.  In order to put on these shows, it requires performers that can spend time to dress up, rehearse and do a professional job to make our visitors laugh and have a good time.

Jacob Nilsson, aka: Pancho Poquito

Volunteers like Jorge, Justina and Jacob compliment the regular members of Gunfighters for Hire and we want to thank them from the bottom of our heart and wish them a safe journey to Tennessee.

Gunfighters for Hire  lost five members in the past year and a half due to cancer and poor health.  It is one of the reasons that it is so important that we try to raise money to donate to organizations to help fight cancer.  Currently the Gunfighters have members that are undergoing treatment for illnesses, including cancer.

We know the value of helping by donating.

Gunfighters for Hire is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and is proud to serve the public.  Gunfighters for Hire is the only non-profit organization that perform free shows on Mane Street in Pioneertown, which uses actual firearms in a safe and controlled environment.  Keep in touch with the Gunfighters by liking the Facebook page.  If anyone is interested in becoming a member, please click on the application on the front page, fill it out and submit it to be considered.
